Samantha Koon
Mrs. Samantha Koon was born in TN, and since the age of 3 months, raised all over the US growing up and now resides in Lexington, KY.
Samantha has always had a love for teaching and choreographing and has done both for places such as GSA Kentucky, Kentucky Ballet Theatre, Lexington Dance Factory, Winchester Christian Ballet, Lexington Catholic Dance Team ‘20/‘21, and most recently, the Ballet Under the Stars productions.
She has been dancing since she was 10 years old. She has studied and been invited to study at numerous ballet schools across the country, such as American Ballet Theatre, Indianapolis Ballet, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and the Wilmington Ballet. Upon graduating she joined Kentucky Ballet Theatre for one season as a company member and has never looked back since becoming a full-time teacher/choreographer.
Along with teaching and choreographing, she has found joy in working as a photographer, music editor, and video editor. This has opened many doors for her and hopes to do more in the future!

She graduated from EKU with a major in Exercise and Sports Science and a focus in Physical Fitness and Wellness management. Having undergone spinal fusion for scoliosis, Abby has a passion to help others who are going through similar trials in their lives. Abigail brings to Winchester Christian Ballet that passion and experience to share with budding young dancers.

Megan Kurtz
I have danced with Winchester Christian Ballet for 14 years from 2007-2021! I began my dance training at the age of 8 and continued all the way through college. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Physics.
A performing highlight for me was dancing in the Prince of Egypt twice. Also, I treasure the group variation dances that we did with Ms. Elanas's tutelage. I value the relationships formed at the studio, for my classmates became my sisters.
I have taught all ages and levels in classes across Winchester, Richmond, and Lexington. I have experience in teaching ballet, musical theatre, as well as dance cross training for gymnastics and ice skating
I love anything to do with nature. Outside of dance, I enjoy hiking, camping, and spending time with friends.

Chynah Thompson
I have been with Winchester Christian Ballet for 15 years now! I started dancing with WCB when I was 5 years old and continued to dance until I graduated high school. I've been fortunate to continue my career with WCB as a Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Beginning Ballet, and Ballet I instructor! I graduated from Bath County High School as valedictorian of the Class of 2021. I am currently a sophomore at Morehead State University, where I am majoring in preschool education.
My favorite performance was easily the Spring Recital of 2021. Not only was this show my senior show, but it was the Prince of Egypt- my favorite ballet! I was able to help plan the show, help with choreography, and reprise my first head role. All in all, the show was beautiful for many reasons, but especially because it was my last time dancing with the girls I grew up and Ms. Elana.
I started teaching in 2019 with Pre-Ballet and Beginning Ballet levels. Since then, I've expanded to Creative Movement- Ballet I. I was also able to sub for Ballet II- IV under Ms. Elana's guidance. I am available for private lessons, too, upon request. Outside of dance, I am the Sunday School Superintendent at Salt Lick First Church Of God , as well as one of their VBS instructors.
When I'm not busy with work and school, I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love to go swimming and bowing. I also love all things arts and crafts. As much as I hate to admit, I love to go shopping too!

Ginny Osbourn
Hi! My name is Ginny Osbourn and I am 17 years old. I have been dancing for 11 years with the Winchester Christian Ballet, along with teaching one of my own classes and assisting other teachers with their classes for 5 years. I have attended two of Kentucky Ballet Theatre's summer Intensive programs and many of their workshops. This past summer, I trained at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in their summer intensive program while staying on campus, and I hope to work with them in the future.
I have homeschooled my whole life and began a co-op in Lexington, KY about 4 years ago. Currently, I am mostly taking dual credit classes at BCTC (Bluegrass Community and Technical College) to get my high school and college credits.
Aside from dance I love hiking, sewing, and art. I hope to reach my goal as a professional dancer one day and become a physical therapist as a long-term career.
