WCB Scholarships
Winchester Christian Ballet believes that no student should be precluded from dance because of financial constraints. Annual fundraising and donations make offering scholarships possible! WCB offers a limited number of scholarship and trade opportunities to youth, teen, and adult students, to aid families in the cost of dance training. Not all applicants are guaranteed to receive a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded depending on funding available and studio need.
Scholarships are granted on a semester basis and only cover a portion of dance studio fees. Families will be responsible for paying fees not covered by scholarship, as well as, dance uniform/accessories, the annual registration fee, and semester performance fees.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Dance involves both financial and time commitments from dancers and their parents/guardians. Scholarship students will be expected to have excellent attendance records. To view our class schedule and academic calendar, please visit our Classes page here.

FINANCIAL NEED
WCB recognizes that some students will require financial assistance in order to participate in dance classes. Financial scholarships are valid for one semester only and are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, as long as funds are available. Not all applicants are guaranteed to receive a scholarship. Scholarships are open to youth, teen, and adult students. Students must use any trade credit on accounts before being eligible for scholarship funding. All information must be filled in or the application will not be accepted.

In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must complete all the information on the following form, even if you have applied before. If any information is incorrect or missing, the application will NOT be considered.

No application will be considered if the dancer has unpaid fees from a prior season.

A separate application form must be submitted for each dancer requesting financial assistance.

Applications that are not received by this deadline will not be considered.​

TRADES
WCB provides opportunities for dancers to participate in cost-reducing trades. These trades vary in time commitment and rate. All trade pay earned will accumulate into a WCB account for each student and can be credited toward WCB student fees, upon request. Exceptions apply when written in individual agreements.

The following trade options are available to students:

CLASSROOM ASSISTANT

Commitment: Assisting teachers in young dance classes.

Time: Weekly class assignment (mutually agreed upon schedule).

Age requirement: 13+ (any student can apply; acceptance will be determined by WCB Admin and teachers)

Rate: $15/hr (pay will accumulate in a WCB student account for future WCB student expenses)

DEMONSTRATOR

Commitment: Attending classes of younger dancers, participating in class to demonstrate proficient dance technique

Time: Range from 30-75 minutes per class; weekly class assignment(s); mutually agreed upon schedule

Age Requirement: 10+ (must be at Ballet 4 training level or higher)

Rate: $10/hr (pay will accumulate in a WCB student account for future WCB student expenses)
